“Right now we know that there are members of the Springfield community who are looking for ways to learn new skills or even to change their careers,” said Business Outreach Librarian Mark Riddle. “We believe this service could be invaluable for them, particularly due to the changes brought on by COVID 19. We are very happy to be able to offer this service for our patrons – the first public library in Oregon to do so.”
Participants watch videos from instructors while being able to work alongside in real time using the workspace feature. Progress is recorded and incentivized through points and badges. Interested patrons will be assigned a Treehouse ‘seat’ for an initial three week period and will have complete access during that time.
