The City of Springfield will have street striping and painting work performed on local streets overnight from 7 PM and 4 AM tonight, September 2 to tomorrow morning, September 3; weather conditions permitting. The work is being done through a contract and partnership with Lane County. Several local streets are scheduled to receive the treatment.

Signage will be posted as the work is being performed to let drivers know that there is wet paint on the street. Drivers are asked to observe the signs and stay in their driving lane to avoid driving on the wet paint. The paint used adheres to the street surface quickly and is fast drying. If a driver does notice paint on their vehicle it is recommended to wash it off as soon as possible.
