Perfect for we who love dogs and spend time in the great outdoors, this calendar reminds us that our everyday choices prevent water pollution. Particularly, when we “scoop the poop,” we prevent bacteria, disease, and unhealthy nutrients from washing into storm drains and then out to waterways, which ultimately lead to the Willamette and McKenzie Rivers.

We started on the 2021 Calendar in the spring of 2020, by announcing a pup photo contest on the City of Springfield’s Facebook page and website. We received almost 90 entries and dozens of City staff voted for their favorites. Then we grabbed our camera, squeak toys, and doggie treats, met each pooch and their family for a special photo shoot, and had a fantastic time getting to romp and play. We hope you have as much fun with this calendar as we did making it!
