Kids’ Read-a-thon at Springfield Public Library

Kids are invited to the library for a special reading day on Monday, July 15! We’ll have storytelling throughout the day and prize drawings every hour. For every half an hour you spend reading (or listening) in the library, you earn a chance to win a prize! The kids’ area, usually a pretty loud place, will be a designated quiet area for the read-a-thon.

This program is free for everyone. No registration required. Come for half an hour, or the whole day! Food is allowed in the lobby and on the plaza, so bring a snack if you like and remember Food for Lane County provides free hot lunches for kids at noon. Drinks with lids are allowed in the library.

This event is part of our Summer Reading Program: A Universe of Stories. Our program is generously funded by the Cressey Family Charitable Trust, the Ready to Read Grant managed by the State Library of Oregon, Joan Gray & Harris Hoffman, the Friends of the Springfield Public Library, the Springfield Arts Commission, and the Springfield Utility Board.
