Summer Storytimes at Springfield Library

Families have many choices for storytime this summer. Join us at 10 a.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Baby & Toddler Storytime; at 12:45 p.m., Tuesdays for Cuentos Bilingual Storytime, at 10 a.m., Wednesdays for Preschool Storytime; and at 11 a.m., Saturdays in Willamalane parks for Stories in the Park. All this reading can count toward your summer reading goals too! Storytimes are always free and open to the public.

Stefano Iaboni is Super Perfect Amazing Man!

Families and kids of all ages are invited to the Springfield Public Library at 6 p.m., Monday, June 24 for S.P.A.M.! He’s a self-proclaimed superhero, well-intentioned to save the world, transporting the public in a world full of ridiculous adventures. Super Perfect Amazing Man is a comic book that comes to life during 45 minutes of physical comedy, mime, and pink spandex! A heroic performance you’ll never forget.

This event is part of our Summer Reading Program: A Universe of Stories. Our program is generously funded by the Cressey Family Charitable Trust, the Ready to Read Grant managed by the State Library of Oregon, Joan Gray & Harris Hoffman, the Friends of the Springfield Public Library, the Springfield Arts Commission, and the Springfield Utility Board.

Henna Tattoos for Teens

Come get your summer henna on and learn about this traditional art form. Teens, join us on Tuesday, June 25, at 4:30 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room at Springfield Public Library, 225 5th St, Springfield. This program is free and intended for teens, ages 12+.

The Library offers a weekly gathering for teens at 4:30 p.m., every Tuesday. Join us to hang out, enjoy a snack, learn new skills and have fun. Teen programs are made possible by our generous Friends of the Springfield Library.

Rich Glauber’s Family Music Time

Kids are invited to a super silly and extra fun morning at the Springfield Public Library at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 for Rich Glauber’s Family Music Time. Rich is famous in libraries and schools for his energetic, fun, and engaging performances. He gets kids (and adults!) up and dancing, singing, and playing. Guitar, accordion, and percussion mean it’s going to be one noisy party. Join in the fun! Best for preschoolers, kindergartners, and families.
