Action Requested: None.  Provide an opportunity for the public to comment on Commission activities/actions and inquire about projects impacting historic properties in Springfield.

Action Requested: Review and approve, or approve with changes, the minutes from the November 20, 2019 meeting.

1:15        Discussion: 2018 Historic Commission Schedule

Action Requested: Review and approve the time / location / date for the 2019 bi-monthly Historic Commission meetings.

Action Requested: Develop list of prioritized projects that may benefit/qualify for grant funding through the State of Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.

The Springfield Historic Commission was established in 1977 to educate the community about the importance of historic resources, promote the use of these resources within the community, and stabilize property values. The Commission oversees the use and preservation of all buildings and sites in the Washburne Historic District and the City Landmark Inventory. Major and minor alterations, building relocation, and demolition of structures are reviewed by the Commission. The Commission consists of seven members who meet on the fourth Tuesday of every other month, or as needed.
