Public Improvement Projects
Public Improvement Projects (PIPs) are privately engineered developments that include construction of new public infrastructure. PIPs can vary greatly depending upon the type of development and the demands the project will place on both new and existing infrastructure. PIPs often include new infrastructure such as public streets, sidewalks, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, street lighting, signage, etc.
The Public Improvement Permit Process provides guidance to private developers and engineers on the process of initiating, coordinating, designing and constructing Permit Projects.
Section 12.0 of the Engineering Design Standards and Procedures explains in further detail the permit application process.
