Sewer Maintenance

Comprised of services related to the collection and treatment of sewage, the Sewer Maintenance program covers maintenance of the City's 240 miles of sanitary sewer lines, and participation in the design and construction of new City sewer facilities. Maintenance activities include pipeline cleaning, repairing manholes, pipelines, and TV'ing inspection. TV'ing of sewer lines is performed to identify entry of extraneous water into sewer lines and schedule repair. A Wet Weather Management Plan is used in identifying sanitary pipeline replacement. City and regional wastewater personnel work to identify infiltration that enters the local and regional sanitary systems.
